Klára Havlíčková lectures at conference on Current Issues Pertaining to Legal Regulations Governing Tourism

Klára Havlíčková, an attorney at the law firm Holubová advokáti took part in the conference entitled Current Issues Pertaining to Legal Regulations Governing Tourism (Aktuální otázky právní úpravy cestovního ruchu) organised by the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague and gave a talk entitled “What are the possibilities afforded by interpretation of legal regulations governing guarantee premiums in case of insolvency?

Klára Havlíčková was invited to take part in the conference to talk about current legal disputes concerning package tour insurance. In her contribution, she talked about: (1) the purpose and reasons for introducing guarantee premiums in case of insolvency; (2) the current wording of legal regulations governing guarantee premiums for insolvency; (3) the essence of clients’ arguments in favour of unlimited benefits from guarantee premiums; (4) the essence of insurers’ arguments against unlimited benefits from guarantee premiums; and (5) current ruling of the Czech courts on the extent of benefits.
